Rabbi Hamaoui
Rabbi Shaoul Hamaoui
Rabbi Shaoul Hamaoui has been our beloved spiritual leader since 2008. He hails from a Sephardic and Ashkenazic background, an attribute that makes the fit in our Beit Kenesset a perfect one indeed.
Rabbi Hamaoui studied in Israel for two years and subsequently spent many years delving into the intricacies of the Talmud and Practical Halacha at the Ner Israel Rabbinical Kollel in Baltimore, MD where he received his Smicha. He also holds a Masters Degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University as well as certificates from the Young Israel Rabbinical Training Program, Maor Institute and the Torah Umesorah Aish Dos Education Program.
Our Rabbi is also a certified Mohel through Sha'arei Tzedek Hospital in Jersusalem. He trained under the world famous Mohel, Rabbi Moshe Weissberg. Click HERE to visit his website for more information.
In addition to leading many classes throughout the week and on Shabbat, Rabbi Hamaoui is always accessible to our congregation. Whether it is a halachic question or a personal call or visit, Rabbi Hamaoui actively seeks to engage our congregants and fulfill the needs of our members.
Rabbi Shaoul Hamaoui reflects the traits that are most important to our Congregation. He and his wife Shoshana and their beautiful children, actively participate in all our synagogue functions and display the warmth and friendliness of our congregation. The membership of our congregation has been growing under our esteemed Rabbi, and he looks forward to welcoming you soon too.
